The Canyons of Pineta Valley are located on the north face of the Monte Perdido massif. It is a valley of glacial origin, with very vertical walls and surrounded by numerous mountains over 3,000 meters, such as the peak of Monte Perdido (3355m), Pico Añisclo (3262m), Cilindro de Marboré (3325m), Picos de Astazu (3071m), Pico la Munia (3132m) or Pico Robiñera (3001m).

A 14 km road from Bielsa will take us practically to the bottom of the valley, where we will find the Parador Nacional and the beginning of the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, with spectacular views of the Circo de Pineta. From here there are many hiking trails such as the circular route of the Llanos de Larri suitable for almost anyone or the ascent to the Balcón de Pineta with spectacular views of the Cascadas del Cinca, this one for more sporty people.

The Pineta Valley is one of the rainiest valleys of the Aragonese Pyrenees and its walls are very vertical due to the intense erosion of the glacier. The canyons of Pineta are technical, with many rappels, with hard approaches and with a very wild atmosphere. The best time to practice canyoning in Pineta is in summer and its canyons are ideal for experienced sports people.

The Munier Canyon (in some places they call it Esmorcaz Canyon) has a north-south orientation and is located very close to the limits of the National Park, practically below the 3 Marías. It is a very alpine canyon where we will have magnificent views of La Estiva during its descent. This is the least technical of the canyons we work in the Pineta Valley, as most of its rappels are not very vertical and not very long, but always in adventurous terrain. Ideal for those who know how to rappel and have some experience in canyoning.

A total of 12rappels with a drop of about 250 meters, with a fair but sufficient equipment, which will give it that wild character. Entertaining and with continuity in a solitary place. The last waterfall is the most spectacular, where we will have a splitting and a half rappel vein crossing, which can be complicated with a high flow. In this case, we can descend by the orographic left out of the water.

The Fuen Blanca Canyon is a very aesthetic canyon that is located in front of the Pineta Camping, with the same orientation as its neighboring Munier ravine. With almost permanent water that comes from the great source that is in its beginning and that feeds the whole ravine. It is an ideal canyon for those who have experience in canyoning and know how to rappel.

A total of 7rappels with a drop of about 200 meters, where we will find some vertical rappels and that go by the active. Rappels followed as a staircase of rappels, with an alpine character and very maintained. To emphasize the second rappel, the one of 35 meters, being one of the most beautiful rappels of the Pyrenees. It is necessary to pay special attention, in the penultimate rappel and access to the head of the last one, to avoid the reception pool when there is a high flow.

In Alto Pirineo, when we have a sports group, we usually combine it with the Ordiceto canyon, resulting in a 5 star activity.

The La Larri Superior Canyon is one of the big ones in the Pineta Valley and in the whole Pyrenees in general. It is synonymous of greatness and exigency, where its descent begins at more than 2,000 meters of altitude. Great verticals, narrow passages and water movements, make this descent is reserved only for experienced canyoners.

A total of 15rappels with a drop of about 3500 meters, the canyon makes its way through the great wall that we find above the Llanos de La Larri. To highlight the magnificent rappel of 55 meters for its exceptional beauty, where we will rappel through the center of the waterfall for the entire asset.

Well maintained canyon where we will have magnificent views of the north face of the Monte Perdido massif and the Pineta Valley.
