Booking conditions

 

Alto Pirineo is an active tourism company with the registration number TA-HU-159 in Tourism of Huesca. We have all the compulsory insurances and all the guides duly qualified.

The website www.altopirineo.com is the official website for booking activities in Alto Pirineo

The Alto Pirineo guide office is located at Avenida Pirenaica 8, in Ainsa (Huesca).

 

1. How to make a reservation?

  • To book an activity you can do it through the Alto Pirineo website.
    The client must pay the total amount of the contracted activities except for the multiadventure packs, where we ask for a deposit of 30%.
  • You can pay by credit card or Pay Pal.
  • It can also be done in person at the Alto Pirineo office where we accept cash.
  • The contracting of any Alto Pirineo activity implies the acceptance of these booking conditions.

 

2. Cancellation conditions

  • Cancellation more than 5 days before the start date of the activity: 100% refund.
  • Cancellation between 4 and 3 days before the start date of the activity: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation 2 days before the start date of the activity: no refund.

 

3. Meteorology and/or adverse environmental conditions

  • Alto Pirineo reserves the right to cancel the activity due to adverse weather conditions, high flows in the canyon or indisposition of the guide. In this case, 100% of the money paid will be refunded.
  • Only Alto Pirineo can cancel the activity for weather reasons, even on the same day of the activity.

 

4. What is included in the price of the activities?

  • Certified guide.
  • Necessary technical material.
  • Compulsory liability and accident insurance.
  • 21% VAT.
  • Management and organization of activities.

 

5. Meeting Point activities

  • When contracting the activity we give you the option to meet at the Alto Pirineo Office in Ainsa, or directly at the place of the activity.
  • Transportation to the place of the activity will be done with the client’s vehicle, as Alto Pirineo does not include transportation to the place of the activity.
  • Alto Pirineo is not responsible for the objects of the clients. We recommend not to bring cell phones, jewelry or valuables.
  • Punctuality: Punctuality is required from the client. Whenever the client has called to warn of the delay, the guide will wait a maximum of 15 minutes. After this time, any participant who has not arrived will lose the possibility of doing the activity without refund.
    6. Participant Limitations
    • It is necessary to know how to swim in the aquatic canyons.
    • It is necessary not to have vertigo in via ferrata and rappel canyons.
    • The minimum age for activities is stated in the description of each activity.
    • The maximum age for the activities we offer in Alto Pirineo is 65 years old.
    • The participant must inform the company of possible injuries, psychological problems or any illness at the time of booking.
    • The client admits that he/she has not taken any kind of narcotic substance or alcohol. In case the client presents these symptoms, Alto Pirineo reserves the right to deprive him/her of the activity without the possibility of refunding the money.
    • Alto Pirineo reserves the right to cancel an activity if the guide considers that the participants do not have the minimum physical or technical conditions required for the activity contracted. Particularly for advanced level activities.
    • The client assumes that the contracted activities have an inherent risk since they are carried out in a natural environment, where there are risks that the guide and the company cannot control.

     

    7. Obligations of the Participants

    • The client must respect and comply with the technical decisions made by the guide during the course of the activity.
    • The participant is responsible for the material that Alto Pirineo has left (wetsuits, harnesses, etc.) until it is returned to the guide at the end of the activity. In case of loss, the participant will be charged for its cost.
    • All activities are distributed by levels of difficulty and it is important that the client reserves the activity taking into account their physical and/or technical capacity.
    • The client must inform the guide if something happens to him/her that could affect the development of the activity (fatigue, injury, low blood pressure, etc.).
    • In Alto Pirineo we have complaint forms available.

     

    8. Transportation

    • The displacement from the guide’s office in Ainsa to the place of the activity will be done with the clients’ cars.
    • Alto Pirineo is not responsible for any incident that may occur in customers’ vehicles (theft, traffic fines, accidents,…).
    • If you are going by special transport (motor homes, bus, etc.) you have to verify that you can reach the place of the activity before making the reservation. If you have any doubts, you can call Alto Pirineo without obligation. In case of cancellation for this reason, the above cancellation policies will be applied.
    • For the Estaroniello and Miraval canyons (upper, lower and integral) it is necessary to travel on an unpaved trail for a fee (3 €). The ticket must be visible at all times and Alto Pirineo recommends that you keep it for at least 6 months.

     

    9. Photographs and Videos

    The Alto Pirineo guides will take photos and/or videos of the activity when they can (their priority will always be safety).

    All images will be given to customers who ask for them, being property of Alto Pirineo.

    The participant consents that Alto Pirineo may use this material for advertising campaigns and social networks if deemed appropriate.

    In case of minors, they will only go out if we have written consent either by email or whatsapp, by their guardian.

    If the customer does not consent to its use, he/she must inform Alto Pirineo in writing (info@altopirineo.com).

    In Rafting, photos are paid for by another provider.
